Hey Tommy -

I hate to bring it up as I was not involved in Messick football - but our 1969 yearbook shows that we had 9 losses that year, not 9 wins, with one tie (vs. Frayser) - no wins at all. Unless you mean the 1969 season (the following year, when the class of 1970 would have been the seniors?).

No disparaging those who went out there in our senior year & gave their best. It must have been tough. Thanks for sticking it out!

Va & I have never been football fans but we are big Lady Vol fans - we hold season tickets. After watching them manage two national championships back-to-back, last year was difficult & painful. But we'll be right back this year - 10th row behind the visitors' bench.

Hello, Tommy! The 1969 football season did not give us any wins, but it DID give us a heck of a time in the stands! Thanks to "augmented liquid refreshment" in the stands, winning or losing didn't seem so crucial! You guys on the field gave it your best. Always appreciated that....
