- Geoffrey Garrett (born 1977) - Geoffrey has 2 bachelors' degrees from Tennessee Technological University, one in chemistry & one in sociology (we joke that "double BS" is an appropriate term for him. He is married to the former Anna Marie Nelson. They live in Morristown, Tennessee, where he works for the Tennessee Department of Human Services.
- Arwen Garrett Wagers (born 1980) - Arwen has a bachelors degree in music from Rhodes College and a masters' in Information Science from the University of Tennessee. She and her husband William live in the Nashville area. Arwen is a professional cataloguer for Ingram Books.
- Also our
"French daughter" Emilie Marceau Colpart (1979, but she lived with us
1997-98!), married to Jean-Paul Colpart on July 12, 2008 (we were
there). Emilie and Jean-Paul live in Montrouge (a suburb of Paris).
She is a physician. On March 19, 2010, she became the mother of our
godson and David's namesake, Henri Jean David Colpart.

Occupation: Episcopal priest (since 1978)
What we've been doing since 1969: Va & I never dated in high school, but we both went to Southwestern at Memphis. We were married during the summer of our sophomore year & graduated in 1973. We left Memphis in 1974 when I went to seminary in Sewanee, TN. After one year in Chattanooga we moved to Newport, TN - in the Great Smoky Mountains - and have been here ever since. I'm the priest at Episcopal Church of the Annunciation.
We've been involved in lots of stuff over the years - check out our home page (link above).
Several years ago we took up dancing together and now dance at every opportunity - at least once a week. We dance anywhere from formal ballroom settings to our local honky-tonk - just give us a dance floor & some music. We do swing & Latino (rhumba, merengue, chacha etc.) better than more formal stuff.
The pic at the right is us at our daughter Arwen's wedding in 2006. Below are pix of us at our son's wedding in September, 2009, and then one of us all (except Anna, Geoffrey's wife) at Emilie's wedding in Dardenay, France, in July 2009. Underneath is a picture of our French godson/namesake, Henri Jean David Colpart, at 9 months old. At the bottom is a picture of us n August 2011.
